Once again, thank you Noirin for being such a faithful and insightful reader of Family Lines. You never know I might return to some of the characters at a future date but right now I have other ideas simmering in the background. I might begin posting something new towards the end of the year.

Meanwhile I have a lot of reading to do for my forthcoming Masters in Literature, Romanticism and the English Lake District. That may generate some Tuesday newsletters when I get stuck in! So keep watching this space.

What a great ending with Lucy getting the same sort of shock that Deb had got all those years ago. Congratulations on a fantastic story - your writing gave a beautiful ballance of grief, humour, adventure and mystery. I loved Lucy, Deb and all the main characters who managed to pull themselves together despite horribly sad happenings. Though I still pine for the older generation like Dolores and Betty and both Dads - hope they will be reborn into a new story at some stage to work things out (I'm a sucker for happy endings!)

Thank you very much for that warm praise. I'm delighted you enjoyed reading Family Lines. I loved writing the novel and feedback from readers was a great encouragement.

I hope to start something new before the end of the year.

I loved Family Lines! It was great, and the suspense of what had happened, and new revelations, kept me guessing. I’d love to have known if Deb replied to Marge, and if she and her family joined Lucy and hers for the trip, but I guess we’ll just have to leave that to our imaginations :)

I’m looking forward to your next stories to come.

Huge congratulations on the most wonderful story you have told through such captivating letter writing! It is a real gem - so moving, full of suspense, really well developed characters and peppered throughout with humour to prevent any hint of sentimentality. Brilliant read and a real page turner! Look forward to the next one :)
